Musical Theatre Dance Camp at CCD

The Center for Contemporary Dance (CCD) is excited to offer a Musical Theatre Dance Camp this summer, focusing on dance for the stage. The camp is specifically designed to advance the artistic and technical skills of beginning dancers, ages 6-9 and 10-13.
The camp will run from June 22 – July 10, 2015. Participation in all 3 weeks is recommended, but not required.
The students also have a weekly performance opportunity with a student showcase each Friday at 4:30pm. There are no additional costs or fees to participate in the showcase or any costumes. Students will wear their standard classroom attire. The showcase is open to friends, family and the general public.
Camp Schedule
Here’s a weekly schedule of the planned curriculum for each age group.
Ages 6-9
8:50 – 10:20 a.m. – Classical Ballet
10:30 a.m. – Noon – Broadway Jazz
Noon – 1:00 p.m. – Lunch
1:00 – 2:00 p.m. – Tap
2:15 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. – Improvisation
3:15 – 4:30 p.m. – Hip Hop (week 1 and 2)/Audition Preparation (week 3)
4:30 p.m. – End of day and standard pick-up
Weekly Showcase: 4:30 p.m. Fridays (June 26, July 3 and July 10)
Ages 10-13

How to Register
- Read the Handbook thoroughly and select weeks of attendance (attendance in all 3 camp weeks is highly recommended).
- Fully complete the camp enrollment forms on pages 8-11 of the Handbook and
