The Center for Contemporary Dance will be hosting Transforming!, a 2-day liturgical dance intensive program on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8. The program is led by author, minister and dance educator Lynn Hayden of Dancing for Him Ministries.

Why choose this program?
Beginner liturgical dancers will enjoy learning new technique and making new connections in a supportive environment. Experienced dancers will enjoy discovering fresh ideas and expanding technique through creative/ministry activations.

During the program, dancers will:

  • Get fresh concepts that will transform your worship dance.
  • Discover new choreography and composition.
  • Learn techniques that will make your dances come alive.
  • Expand creativity so your dance will minister more powerfully.
  • Experience an artistic explosion of ministry through the arts.
  • Receive and participate in ministry through prophetic dance.
  • Share an uplifting and transformative final presentation with fellow dancers.

There will also be a Participants’ Concert on the last day of the program. Space for participation in the Concert is limited to the first 12 individuals, groups, or teams who fully register and want to present a dance that you have already prepared to share with the other participants. The Participants’ Concert is also open to the public, at no cost, at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 8.
